    The Photography Smiths consist of husband/wife photographers Mikey and Samantha Smith.

    We think moments shouldn’t just be captured, they should be handcrafted. And while we’re not great with words, we believe in the power of images to tell our story, and if you’d like, they can tell yours too.

Josh + Kari {Fredericksburg Portrait Photographer}

A few months ago we were gifting one of our followers on Facebook a free mini session. I LOVE gifting mini sessions since I feel like its giving someone the gift of gorgeous photos who wouldn’t normally have the done just because. For this one we actually picked two names and Kari was one of the lucky ones!

We had such a great time! The leaves were at their peak and we had AMAZING weather! They both are just so darn beautiful and have the best smiles!

Bill + Dottie {Fredericksburg Portrait Photographer}

Bill and Dottie celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary last month and to celebrate they decided to have schedule a session. They knew they wanted to have a vintage 1940s theme session and were able to find some amazing outfits and I just so happen to have a vintage suitcase I picked up at a thrift store a few months ago.

Ashley + Ron {Hopyard Farm Wedding Photographer}

We are so thrilled to finally share some of our favorites of Ashley and Ron! We went to high school with these two and as long as we have known them they have been together. Even when Ashley moved away for a year they still made it work with a long distance relationship. They are ideal high school sweetheart couple! Their wedding was absolutely gorgeous!! All day they were calling for rain but we lucked out with beautiful sunny weather!

Giveaway winner!

Cohen LOVES Halloween and when we told him he would get to pick a surprise out of his pumpkin then have his picture taken he started practicing his model face. We asked him what kinda photo he would like and he said ‘scary rarrrrrr!!!’ So Mikey started setting up the lights and Cohen asked ‘whats that?’ I told him ‘oh those are the lights for the camera – daddy is going to shoot you with them.’ Sooo my fault …but he did manage to pick just one name. Here are the results and photos of a very terrified child:)

Scott and Sabrina {Inn at Kelly’s Ford Wedding Photographer}

Mikey and I had the pleasure of documenting Sabrina and Scott’s day! We just LOVED hanging out with these two. They were both just so sincere, easy going and a super fun couple! I am so excited for these two to be the first featured wedding on the BLOG!! As you can see from their images below their wedding was an absolute dream! From the cabins provided by the Inn at Kelly’s ford to the horse drawn carriage to the awesome dance party celebrating their day! But I’m not going to lie this wedding was filled with AMAZING dancers like whoa these guest could bust a move!!

Yes, Scott even got us to dance 😉
